Winter Term 2025

Our winter term started on Wednesday 8th January, it was a very cold and snowy night, but a good start to the term nonetheless.
Christmas was a busy season for the choir with performances in St. Peter’s, Marlborough for their Christmas Fair on Sat 7th December, in Marlborough Town Hall for a Christmas coffee morning on Wed 11th December for the u3a in Kennet, and our Christmas concert in St. Peter’s, Marlborough on Sun 15th December.
Last summer we enjoyed taking part in a ‘Sing-a-thon’ raising money for the Great Western Hospital’s ‘Brighter Futures’ charity on Saturday 22nd June, and we were pleased to take part in Marlborough’s first Health & Wellbeing day on Saturday 6th July (singing is really great for Health & Wellbeing!), and to sing at a wonderful tea party in Lockeridge to celebrate the clients and volunteers who work on behalf of the Marlborough and District LINK Scheme.
If you are interested in joining the choir, do let us know and we can arrange for you to join us one week for a taster session. The overall atmosphere at rehearsals is great with plenty of enthusiasm, laughter, and kindness. We have about 60 singers in the choir.
If you would like to come and join us, do please get in touch with me, emmapooley@btinternet.com, or our secretary Alan Pryor, pryoral@gmail.com
Our next rehearsal will be on Wednesday 12th February 2025, 7.30pm – 9pm in St. Peter’s, High Street, Marlborough, then we will take a 2-week break and meet again on Wednesday 5th March 2025.
