Our Spring Term started on Wednesday 28th February. So far we have had a great start to the year, with good attendance and a great atmosphere at rehearsals.

In our Christmas term we sang in Marlborough Town Hall on Thursday 7th December for our local U3A, and at the Savernake View Care Home for their Christmas Party. On Sunday 17th December we held a Christmas Concert in St. Peter’s Church, Marlborough and managed to raise an amazing £1,067.00 for Medical Aid Ukraine.

In our forthcoming Summer term we are looking forward to taking part in a ‘Sing-a-thon’ raising money for the Great Western Hospital’s ‘Brighter Futures’ charity on Saturday 22nd June, and singing at a wonderful tea party in Lockeridge to celebrate the clients and volunteers who work on behalf of the Marlborough and District LINK Scheme in July.

We are always pleased to welcome new members. If you are thinking of joining the choir you would be very welcome to come and join us one week for a taster session to see if you enjoy singing with us. The only way to find out is to come and give it a go! The overall atmosphere at rehearsals is great with plenty of enthusiasm, laughter, and kindness. The choir is gradually growing in numbers, at the moment we have about 55 singers in the choir.

If you would like to come and join us, you are most welcome. Do please let our secretary, Alan Pryor (pryoral@gmail.com), know.

Our next rehearsal is on Wednesday 6th March 2024, 7.30pm – 9pm in St. Peter’s Church.
